We provide the individuals whose employment is being terminated to manage the crucial turning point of their life by equipping them with the necessary skills and building their confidence levels to help them land new fitting opportunities. Our commitment is to make the transition process for the employee seamless.
To ensure the outplacement program is successful, we make it employee-centric and is designed around the following principles.
- Self-Realization. The outplacement program is carefully designed and led by outplacement experts to help the declared redundant employees reflect on their careers and life. It emphasizes self-awareness and self-realization which will essentially help them choose an appropriate career path and make important life decisions that are the key to satisfaction, growth, and happiness.
- Communication. The program is designed and focused on relationship coaching and support to assist the employee(s) express themselves, their frustrations if any, their highs, lows, and lessons which is an important part of reflection and awareness. We also coordinate a feedback session between the company declaring the employees redundant and the terminated employees to help them get closure.
- Education. The program helps the candidate(s) learn about the evolving job market and digital recruitment models. This equips them with skills in a job application, interview preparation, negotiation, career planning, packaging, and positioning to be resources of value to their next employers.
To make the service more efficient, we employ various tools such as psychometric assessments, strengths tests, venting exercises, among others. Talent Grid Africa’s outplacement training and program will help your company in the following ways;
- Elevate your company’s reputation. An employment termination doesn’t actually end your employees’ relationship with your company. Your exiting employees will still hold opinions about your company long after they’ve left and share them on social media and Glassdoor, becoming vocal brand ambassadors—or brand critics. A proper outplacement service will keep your company’s reputation as the employees are also aware of your client base and might have contact with them.
- Reduce the possibility of litigation and disclosure of proprietary information. Employees who have gone through an outplacement service will understand in depth the reasons for the redundancy, the company’s investment in ensuring they leave happy, and how their final dues were computed, and will have future prospects in terms of the route they decide to take. They are less likely to sue.
- Improve post-employment relations. Ex-employees’ relationship with your company isn’t limited to online reviews. In fact, if the parting was on good terms, former employees can serve as great assets to the company—as customers, referrers, or even boomerang employees. Our service ensures that the employee feels comfortable and maintains a good relationship with the company and people from the company.
