OSH Training
Are you committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for your employees in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, or Tanzania?
Talent Grid Africa offers a comprehensive occupational health and safety program through its training arm. The program is designed to equip your employees with the necessary knowledge and skills to prevent workplace injuries, accidents, and illnesses.
We believe that workplaces, like any other environment, are prone to health risks, injuries, and hazards that can lead to absenteeism, decreased productivity, under-performance, and suffering for sick workers and their families.
At Talent Grid Africa, we train employees to avoid, prevent, and control such hazards and risks by fostering a culture of safety consciousness at the workplace. Our commitment goes beyond compliance; we strive to establish a culture of safety that permeates every aspect of the workplace.
We focus on practicality and relevance and tailor our programs to meet the specific needs of different industries, job roles, and regulatory requirements.
Apart from the training programs we deliver, we empower our trainees with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and respond to incidents, accidents, and near misses.
We emphasize the importance of timely and accurate reporting through investigative techniques and the implementation of proactive preventive measures to enhance workplace safety.
Some of the training we offer include;
1. Fire and Safety Training
The enactment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007, and Legal Notice No. 59, the Fire Risk Reduction Rules, 2007, are crucial steps towards ensuring workplace safety, especially regarding fire hazards.
These regulations require every employer, as the occupier of a workspace, to establish a proficient firefighting team and educate their staff on the proper use of fire extinguishers.
It is essential for organizations to maintain a team of trained fire marshals who can respond swiftly to fire emergencies.
Our fire and safety training equips your employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent fires, respond effectively in case of an emergency, and minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
By providing these trainings, your company can ensure the safety of your employees, protect your assets, and maintain business continuity in case of a fire emergency.
2. First Aid Training
The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 2007 is an important workplace safety legislation that prioritizes the well-being of employees.
One of the critical provisions of the framework is the requirement for a dedicated First Aid team in the workplace. This team must comply with the guidelines outlined in Legal Notice No. 160, 1977, and it is mandatory for all companies to have one.
Each member of the First Aid team must undergo extensive training to acquire the necessary skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
After the training, they receive a certificate that is valid for twelve months.
At Talent Grid Africa, we provide training services to equip your team with the life-saving skills needed to comply with these guidelines and prepare them for any workplace emergencies.
Our training will help foster a safer working environment for everyone.
3. Occupational Health and Safety Committee Training
We offer customized training programs based on the specific needs of different organizations. Our training sessions are tailored to various occupations and industries.
