  • Expats, Visas, and Work Permits. Visas and work permits are required for Expats. The visas remain valid for up to 12 months, but can be extended. 
  • Minimum Wage. The minimum wage in Sierra Leone is 500 SLL (Sierra Leonean Leon) for all employees.
  • Termination. An employer can terminate employment with valid reasons, following a documentation process. The employer can give two written warnings before dismissal. The notice period is one month, and severance pay is not mandatory.
